Your Guide to the High Places

I have been coaching and leading in some capacity for most of my adult life.

I’ve have seen and experienced firsthand how a workplace fosters or fails, the toll of burnout, how physical well-being yields confidence, how leaders grow or repel committed followers.

I have coached men and women to complete their first triathlon and physicians to beating burnout.  I’ve coached ministry leaders navigating their own stress and that of their team. Living and working in West Africa for several years gave me vital global perspective and ingrained the necessity of context.

As a psychologist I have learned much more about what works in journeying with others towards their high places, each one starting at a different place on the path but nonetheless holding out hope for higher.

Hundreds of individuals, groups, teams, leaders and organizations have consulted with me to effect improved performance, satisfaction, leadership, relationships and workplaces in schools, hospitals, community mental health centers, small businesses, not-for-profits, and veterans hospitals, I have built and managed an EAP program and consulted for executive leadership and HR of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, I have coached and counseled general laborers, at-home Moms and Dads, physicians, parents, pastors, teachers, lawyers, accountants, nurses, college students, managers, soldiers, artists and athletes.

Along the way, I have completed an Ironman triathlon, traveled to 18 countries, and perfected a melt-in-your-mouth dark chocolate cake recipe… I enjoy running, hiking, baking, hymn sings, the farm life and good coffee (to go with the cake)!

And I’ve been the client and the coachee and navigated my own significant upfront experience with personal and professional crises. My coaching, to your benefit, includes the influence of incredible orienteers who helped me to my high places…

It would be an honor to climb with you to yours.
